ASSOCIATE PROGRAMME (AGES 13–18)

Our Associate Programme operates as an advanced training bridge for young creatives across East London. The department equips performers with the rigorous technical craft, text analysis, and rehearsal discipline required to progress into top-tier UK drama schools, higher education, or our senior workforce tier.

To provide targeted, age-appropriate industry training, the Associate Programme splits into two distinct performance companies:

1. The Youth Theatre Company (Ages 13–17)

Rehearsal Schedule: Wednesdays, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Mulberry UTC (Bow).
The Performance Track: This company functions as a high-tempo production ensemble. For the 2026/2027 season, we have been officially selected for the prestigious National Theatre Connections Festival, staging our allocated contemporary musical text, Icebreakers.
The Transfer Platform: Following local showcase runs, this company will officially transfer the production to Southwark Playhouse for a live festival run during the Easter holidays.
Requirements: Applicants must be comfortable working across all three disciplines: acting, singing, and movement/dance.

Fees:

Cost: Subsidised local community rate of £65.00 per term per company.
Financial Access: ELTS is committed to removing structural barriers. A select number of full and partial financial access bursaries are available for low-income or single-parent households.

Applications for the 2026/2027 Youth Theatre Associate company cycle are now live. Entry is by application and placement trial.

2. The Young Actors Company (Ages 16–18)

Rehearsal Schedule: Saturdays, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at The Source (Stratford Campus, UEL).
The Conservatoire Track: Our premium studio and technical accelerator track for our oldest members. Rehearsals isolate advanced character text work, screen acting technique, self-tape precision, and intensive preparation for upcoming drama school audition cycles.

Note: Advanced performers aged 16–17 are eligible to audition for both tracks simultaneously if they can commit to both schedules.
